Q: What does Mayberry Acres offer to professional photographers?

A: Mayberry Acres provides pro photographers with natural features, custom backgrounds, and a variety of props to suit creative styles. The goal is to serve as a canvas for photographers to capture memories and create photographic art.

Q: Can photographers bring their own props to Mayberry Acres?

A: Absolutely! Mayberry Acres encourages photographers to bring their own props to enhance their creative vision.

Q: I’m not a professional photographer. Can I still book a session and shoot selfies with my iPhone?

A: Sorry, no. Our vignettes are reserved specifically for professional photographers looking for spaces to enhance their work.

Q: How far in advance should I book a session?

A: Our calendar fills up quickly, so please plan to book about 2-3 months in advance. Please see our Available Sessions [LINK TO ACUITY] to see what dates are available.

Q: What should I bring?

A: All your own equipment- anything you need to hold a successful photo shoot!

Q: Other than the set-up, what does Mayberry provide to photographers?

A: We are full service! We greet your clients, park them and make sure they arrive to your vignette. In addition, we have a restroom on property, changing stations, clothing racks, “in case you forgot” kits for you and your clients, the shoppe that has light snacks and beverages (read: bribes for cooperative children!) You also are invited to our VIP FB Group where you’ll find community amongst other creative professionals.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on my scheduled date?

A: In the event that Mayberry cancels a shoot day, we will offer at least 1 reschedule date option. In the event that you or your client cancel, and the venue is open, you forfeit all payments.

Q: Are other events scheduled at the same time as photography sessions?

A: No. Photography is our main event. We will block out days for markets, and other events, but if you have booked sessions, those are priority.


Q: What is the purpose of the maker space at Mayberry Acres?

A: We have (3) “artists in residence” that will be in the space full time and offer their classes. When not in use by these two makers, we would love to have other makers host their classes and workshops. And, we welcome makers to apply to sell their goods in our Shoppe.

Q: Is the maker space exclusive to certain types of makers?

A: We have a candle, soap, and floral company. Any other types of makers are welcome. We want to honor our full-time tenants and will not offer classes in the above three markets as a non-compete.

A: Mayberry Acres is a versatile venue suitable for a range of events, including micro-weddings (under 150 people), corporate gatherings, birthday parties, and more. The scenic backdrop and various spaces make it perfect for crafting unique celebrations.

Q: Is Mayberry Acres available for private events?

A: Yes, Mayberry Acres welcomes private events, offering a picturesque setting for special occasions.

Q: Will there be other events or photography sessions scheduled during my private event?

A: No. Outside of the retail shoppe and makers space, which have consistent business presence , there will not be photo sessions or other major events.
